About the Artist

I am a 38 year old self taught, but highly inspired artist living in Northern California with my super supportive husband and our four year old daughter, “Birdie.”  My art is my own as are my late nights, which is usually the only time I have to create. I am a spirited person who loves the beach, nature, animals, and dance parties in my socks with my favorite people. I am all about creating art from the heart.  My pieces typically reflect bright happy days with wistful emotion, but can also be murky and mercurial, as is life. The time and ability to create, for me, is one that had arisen organically, but with a little push from my Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) diagnosis. Cancer forced me to take on a renewed approach to my life and focus on what brings me peace and joy. Art also provides a layer of beauty in my life that doctors, scans and chemo often try and take away (albeit, unsuccessfully!). I hope to leave a beautiful mark on this world when my time comes, and hopefully that beauty speaks to you through my paintings.

See the beauty. Feel the love. Share the grace.

About the Art

I primarily paint modern abstracts using acrylic paint, with various tools- empty pill boxes, breast cancer necklaces, and of course dirty cups for dirty pours! I love working with any shade of blue, pinks, purples, metallic colors and gold leaf.

If you are interested in owning your original “Paint by Rads” piece and supporting a local artist, please see my SHOP. If you like my style but don’t see your favorite color or if you would like something created especially for you and your space, please feel free to contact me HERE for commissioned work. Please note that I can only accept 3 commission pieces a month.
